On 3rd July 2025, YSISS PJ in collaboration with the European Commission (EC) and Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) hosted a guest lecture by Prof. Eduard Llobet, a globally renowned expert in electronic nose (E-nose) technology. The session, moderated by Dr. Sim Siong Fong from IKM took place at the YSISS PJ Multi-Purpose Hall. The event aimed to spark student interest in science and innovation by showcasing real-world applications of advanced sensor technologies in health diagnostics. Students engaged directly with Prof. Eduard, fostering critical thinking, curiosity, and exposure to global perspectives and STEM career pathways. On 22 May 2025, the Interact Club of Yayasan Sarawak International Secondary School successfully carried out a Coastal Beach Cleanup Project at Long Beach, Kampung Pasir Panjang. Funded by a SGD 500 prize from winning 2nd place in the Interact International Challenge, the initiative aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation, 3R practices (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and the impact of pollution. The Sarawak Eco Warriors facilitated the session, providing safety guidance and educational input while leading the cleanup efforts.
