On 23 April 2025, Yayasan Sarawak International Secondary School (YSISSPJ) held the “Jom Baca Bersama 2025” program in conjunction with World Book and Copyright Day. Led by the National Library of Malaysia, this nationwide initiative aimed to encourage a love for reading among Malaysians, especially students. At YSISSPJ, all students, teachers and staff read a book for 10 minutes simultaneously, in tandem with the rest of the country. In addition, a group of YSISSPJ students were invited to the reading event at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak. The program supported the National Reading Decade (Dekad Membaca Kebangsaan) 2021–2030 and promoted the importance of books and literacy in both academic and personal development. ... On 30 April 2025, excitement filled the halls of YSISSPJ as students and parents gathered for the highly anticipated YSISSPJ Education Fair. The fair brought together representatives from a wide range of institutions, including Swinburne University, Curtin University, University of Technology Sarawak (UTS), i-CATS, Laila Taib College, CENTEXS, SEGi College, FAME College, UCSI, Sunway and Cyberjaya College. As part of the program, Pn Haznetta Sarenau Howell from Yayasan Sarawak and Mr Fadhrullah Hakim Yusop from Yayasan Khazanah shared helpful information on available financial assistance and scholarship schemes.
