On 18 October 2025, nine students from YSISS Petra Jaya proudly presented their project at the Science Castle Asia 2025, an international platform celebrating young innovators in Science, Technology, and Engineering. This marks the school’s first-ever participation at this prestigious conference, where students presented their self-funded research to experts and peers from across Asia. The event featured engaging oral and poster presentations, interactive science workshops, and teacher panel discussions focused on nurturing a research-driven mindset among youth.![]()

On 1st November 2025, 27 students and 2 staff members from Yayasan Sarawak International Secondary School (YSISS) Sibu proudly took part in the “ChemisTree for Nature” Tree Planting Programme held at Tun Ahmad Zaidi Nature Reserve, Sibu. 🌱 Organised by the Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) Sarawak Sibu Region Sub-committee, this meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility initiative brought together students, volunteers, and community partners in support of environmental conservation and community volunteerism. Our young participants enthusiastically planted trees, learned about biodiversity, and deepened their appreciation for nature while enjoying the great outdoors and fostering teamwork. A heartfelt thank you to the organisers and collaborators for their efforts in making this initiative a success. Congratulations to our YSISS PJ Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Inggeris debate teams for their outstanding performance at the Premier of Sarawak Debate Challenge State Level 2025, held from 17th to 20th October. Competing among 9 schools (BI) and 14 schools (BM) across Sarawak, both YSISS PJ teams proudly advanced to the semi-finals, a remarkable achievement that reflects their hard work, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. 💪![]()

From 7–9 October 2025, YSISS Kuching celebrated Minggu Bahasa Melayu with a series of exciting and meaningful activities that showcased our students’ creativity, teamwork, and love for the national language. ![]()
Programme Highlights:
• Misi Kembara Bahasa Melayu – Students explored fun language challenges that tested their knowledge, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Sayembara Bicara Berirama – Teams from all sport houses impressed the audience with powerful voices and inspiring performances centred on the theme of Unity.
• Closing Ceremony (Pementasan Sketsa Muzikal) – The week concluded with a spectacular performance of “Puteri Santubong & Puteri Sejinjang”, in collaboration with the Performance Arts and Culture Club (PACC) and Amanah Khairat Yayasan Budaya Melayu Sarawak (AKYBMS), celebrating Sarawak’s rich legends and cultural heritage. ![]()
